Does the EU Have Energy to Deal with the Energy Crisis?
Talks about the upcoming winter are intensifying and the Czech Republic which currently holds presidency of the EU urged other members of the bloc to hold an emergency meeting on the current energy crisis. This noteworthy meeting will be held on September 9, 2022 and the EU27 will gather to discuss the EU’s future steps and precise actions to be taken in order to “fix” the markets.
Competition Authority's Checklist or Just a Wishlist?
The Serbian Competition Authority („SCA“) and the Public Policy Secretariat of the Republic of Serbia have been in cahoots apropos publishing of the Checklist for Assessing the Impact of Regulations on Competition („Checklist“). Finally, the Checklist saw the light of day on June 16, 2022.
Digital tokens looked through the lens of Serbian regulations
Digital tokens are the new big thing in Serbia right now following the Decision of the Republic of Serbia’s Securities Commission (“Commission”) to approve the white paper on the first Serbian digital token – Finspot factoring token or FIN for short. Since Finspot was first to market to break the ice in the Serbian digital assets’ world with the initial offering of 35.250 digital tokens with a nominal value of RSD 1,000.00 for each. FIN gives its owner the right to invest in one or more offered investment indices (four indices in total) which are part of the Finspot portfolio.
Competition Compliance Programs - Prevention in Competition Law
The Commission for Protection of Competition of the Republic of Serbia (the “Commission”) published the Guidelines for the Development of Competition Compliance Programs (the “Guidelines”) and presented them to numerous business representatives at the June 8 workshop “Competition Compliance Programs” held in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
